VA Peninsula Foodbank


The Virginia Peninsula Foodbank provides food for less fortunate families and individual who reside in the Peninsula area. The Foodbank is partnered with various churches, soup kitchens, shelters, and food pantries which enables them to feed as many people as possible.

Volunteer duties consist of packing bags for distribution to go to various churches and shelters, sorting foods that are donated to the foodbank, and also filling bags for the BackPack Program which is an program geared toward breaking the cycle of child hunger by giving less fortunate children nutritious snacks for the weekend.
